From October 3 to October 16, “Red Beard” starring Toshiro Mifune will screen at TOHO Cinemas Nijo for the 3rd “New Gozen 10-ji no eigasai （10AM Film Festival） ”.Toshiro Mifune has been selected as a 2016 honoree on one of Hollywood’s renowned tourist spots, the “Hollywood Walk of Fame”. To be screened on the 16th, “Red Beard” is one of Mifune’s outstanding works and a masterpiece by the great filmmaker, director Akira Kurosawa. Newly assigned to the Koishikawa Clinic is a young intern （Yuzo Kayama）, training under a veteran doctor （Toshiro Mifune）. Through the medical practice, the film portrays how the intern learns of the lives of destitute patients and matures as a doctor and human being, realizing true humanity. After the screening, Mr. Shiro Mifune, son of Toshiro Mifune, will give a greeting message to the audience.
