KYOTO INTERNATIONAL FILM AND ART FESTIVAL 2015×Kyoto Aquarium
Imaginary Aquarium Grand Prix
- This is a planned contest which accepts illustrations from children of their imagined creations of fish and other ocean life. The reviewing committee’s chairman, a Kyoto native, will also draw a creative picture, and Savannah Yagi who has published a book with a collection of imaginary monster illustrations will also take part.

Garbage and other flotsam collected from the dry riverbed of the Yodogawa River in Osaka and used by the art unit to create a variety of works will be exhibited displaying the Yodogawa Technique. A number of large artworks such as“Sazare Fish” will be on display in the aquarium.

Kaiyodo is a company which produces and sells candy, capsule toys, and figurine mold designs, and will hold a planned exhibition. A more than 6 m long submarine named Lorelei used as a prop for photography, unique Kaiyodo candy, and an exhibition of dioramas will also be on display.
